Creates the physiological challenges as encountered in real flight

The gondola motion is computer controlled for 360° rotation in pitch, roll, yaw and planetary axes, creating accurate motion cueing, attitude recreation and g alignment generated by aircraft maneuvers. Wide field of view terrain graphics, coupled with interactive flight controls, create an immersive flight environment with physiological challenges as encountered in real flight.

Configurable environmental factors, motion, and training profiles

An interactive flight profile editor adds to the flexibility of the GYROLAB GL-4000 by allowing the operator to pre-program flight scenarios for Spatial Disorientation (SD) and Situational Awareness (SA) flight training. Training can be conducted through automated profiles, playback profiles or free flights with instructor intervention.

Interchangeable cockpit modules for fixed and rotary wing training

The GL-4000 offers interchangeable cockpits for fixed wing and rotary wing configurations as well as NVG compatible cockpits optimized with High Dynamic-Range rendering for NVG stimulation.
