A successful ejection is a consequence of a series of events that needs to be accomplished by the pilot, including aircraft emergency handling ejection decision, and final preparation for ejection. The Ejection Seat Simulator (ESS) is a multifunctional simulation platform that enables a pilot to experience and train through the entire sequence of events from an aircraft emergency to seat ejection.
The Ejection Seat Simulator (ESS) is a multifunctional simulation platform that enables a pilot to experience and train through the entire sequence of events from an aircraft emergency to seat ejection.
The ESS creates a seamless, realistic environment transitioning from controlled flight to ejection, allowing the pilot to be trained in the most demanding emergency scenario.
The ejection seat simulator seat type can be varied, depending on each customer’s unique set of specifications. The customer can further choose to have a variety of interchangeable cockpits to replicate training for multiple aircraft types.
Pilots will experience the urgency in making the critical decision of when to pull the ejection handle and how to promptly position themselves properly before ejecting. This is an ideal environment for pilots to hone their skills for the most challenging aspect of aircraft ejection – the decision to eject.
The ESS provides flight simulation scenarios of in-flight emergencies, demanding pilots’ real-time decision to continue or abort flying.
Cameras placed at different angles, provide high quality recordings of each individual trainees’ training. An optional high speed camera is also available for capturing images in slow motion.
Key safety features include pilot posture sensors, multi-layered physical and software safety interlocks, catapult brakes and safety barriers.
We want to share our fifty years of experience and current trends to find the best solution that meets or exceeds your critical training objectives.
